About the Event
Women’s Handgun Safety & Confidence Workshop
Whether you’ve never touched a handgun or simply want to feel more comfortable and confident handling one, this workshop is designed to give women a practical, judgment-free introduction to handgun safety and shooting.
Presented by Carolina Gun Coach, the workshop begins with approximately 90 minutes of classroom instruction covering:
Safe firearm handling
Proper grip, stance, sight alignment and trigger control
Firearm storage and maintenance
What to know when purchasing a handgun
A basic overview of North Carolina firearm laws
Then we’ll head to a private outdoor range on the property for hands-on shooting instruction and practice.
No firearm or previous shooting experience is required. Handguns, ammunition, and eye and ear protection will be provided. If you prefer to bring your own handgun, you’re welcome to do so, but you’ll need to provide your own ammunition as well.
Cost: $75 per person $25 from EVERY registration benefits the Mel Miller Foundation.

About the Instructor: Rick Rojas of Carolina Gun Coach is a certified firearms instructor with 35 years of law enforcement training experience. His approach emphasizes safe firearm handling, practical skills, and helping shooters build confidence through knowledgeable, hands-on instruction.
